Well, in my teenage years, I was very much obsessed with heavy metal and guitar playing. I played in many sucky bands throughout this time. Eventually, I became fed up and during my senior year in high school, I was determined to create a real “True” heavy metal band. I had a drummer, and was pretty good at playing and singing. I just needed a bass player… A guy I used to hang out with told me that his friend Gordon Burchell was into the same kind of heavy metal I was and would maybe play bass. I knew Gordon from school and remembered that he was a really nice guy. I called him up and invited him to come over and jam. He did and we really hit it off. Together, we created a vision of how we wanted our band to be. I quickly wrote a bunch of killer songs and we decided to create a fantasy concept story, in which to base all of our lyrics on. We soon had a demo and were putting on theatrical metal shows all over the area we live. Thus, The ETERNAL WINTER Legacy was born!...And so, that is how I joined the band. |
